Safe rooms  -  A room or area that has been converted to form a protective barrier between an unwanted intruder and the occupant.

A safe room in its simplest form can be a bullet-resistant reinforced door with multipoint locks, through to a complete steel lined room with independent electricity and communication equipment.

Safe rooms are not a new idea and almost any room or office can have a room cost effectively converted in to a safe room.  The cost involved will depend on the level of risk and security required.  As each design is unique we provide a project managed solution for all of our clients.

A typical safe room would be fitted with a warning device that communicates with persons outside the safe room or threatened building.  When entering the safe room, the occupant triggers an alarm or phones the police.  Audible alarms can alert the intruders to the fact that the situation is known to emergency services.  Consequently, the attacker knows that his time is limited.
